Participate

MusicPlast has an open call for participants. Having completed the development of the web-based game on which the multisensory training protocol is based, the project moves forward in the phase of data collection.
The goal of this phase is to recruit a sufficient amount of participants of all ages that will complete the training, so that the statistical analysis of the results is possible.
  •     The training lasts 15 – 20 minutes per day, for about a month’s period and is performed via a computer, smartphone or tablet from wherever you want.
  •     The process is based on learning a simplified music reading system, using known melodies.
  •     As the complete training is being performed wherever you want and at any time you would like, participation does not take a lot of time and does not bring more stress in your everyday habits. Instead, through a pleasant procedure it reorganizes the function of specific brain structures, inducing targeted neuroplastic changes.
The training is offered to 5 specific groups of participants, as for those groups there are enough scientific evidence supporting that such a training approach will be beneficial.
So, if you are:
  1.    Teenager without any learning difficulties (12 – 15 years old)
  2.     Teenager with dyslexia (12 – 15 years old)
  3.     Young adult (18 – 35 years old)
  4.     Healthy senior adult (65+ years old)
  5.     Senior adult suffering from Mild Cognitive Impairment (65+ years old)
You can take part (without any charge, of course) by contacting the research team of MusicPlast on musicplast@gmail.com, or using the facebook page https://www.facebook.com/musicplast/
The process includes two electroenchephalographic measurements (EEG) and a cognitive evaluation, which altogether last 2 hours and will be performed in the Laboratory of Medical Physics prior to the initialization of the training as well as after its completion.
